Title: Technical Lab Technician

Pay: $28.50+ DOE
We are searching for an Lab Technician to join our growing Water Management Team in our Andover, MN office.
You will have expertise and knowledge in preparing reagents, solutions, standards, and samples for laboratory testing in our analysis area. You will perform the necessary standardization and calibration of reagents and equipment to ensure accurate results and properly document activities in logbooks. Cleans laboratory equipment, tabletops, and work area. Mechanical aptitude is required to be able to calibrate, adjust, and test equipment used for laboratory activities.
Responsibilities
- Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines.
- Conducts routine analysis using standardized procedures for analytical work.
- Collect and organize data in a coherent format. Accurately and completely fill out required paperwork, including test results, instrument readings, shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Provide routine maintenance and calibration to process equipment and instrumentation.
- Provide training to other Technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test results.
- Train and understand the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adhering to site safety practices.
- Provides support and backup to warehouse staff for handling, storing, and transferring chemical materials.
Qualifications
- 2-Year Degree or High School Degree with 3 – 5 years of relatable experience.
- Resourceful, attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and apply new applications.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required for the job.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
